Install Saintz Code

Saintz Code (scode) is the official coding agent CLI for your Saintz workspace — it streams answers, edits files, runs commands, and signs in to claude.saintz.my from the terminal.

$ scode exec "fix the failing tests and run them"

Before you start

Three things, and you're ready to build.

Node.js 22+The runtime. Check with node -v.
gitTo fetch the source.
A Saintz accountOn claude.saintz.my — you'll approve sign-in in the browser.

1 Get the source

The CLI lives in the scode/ folder of the claude-web repository.

terminal
$ git clone https://github.com/SaintzProfox/claude-web.git
$ cd claude-web
$ git checkout feature/saintz-code-v0.3 # until it's merged to main
$ cd scode

The repository is private — clone with an account that has access.

2 Build & link

npm link puts the scode command on your PATH.

terminal
$ npm install
$ npm run build
$ npm link
# now `scode` is available anywhere

3 Sign in

A browser device login — no key to copy or paste.

terminal
$ scode login
Saintz Web URL [http://127.0.0.1:3000]: https://claude.saintz.my

To finish signing in, open this page in your browser:
  https://claude.saintz.my/scode/device?code=XXXX-XXXX
and confirm this code:  XXXX-XXXX

Waiting for approval…
✓ Signed in. Credentials saved to ~/.saintz/code/config.json

scode opens the page for you; sign in if needed, check the code matches, and click Approve. The key is stored locally with owner-only permissions, and scode config only ever prints it masked.

!

Approving grants this machine a gateway key and replaces any existing one on the account. Prefer to paste a key yourself? Generate one under Settings → Developer and run scode login paste.

4 Verify

Confirm the environment is healthy before your first task.

terminal
$ scode doctor
✓ Saintz login      configured
✓ Gateway reachable  https://claude.saintz.my
✓ Node 22            ok
✓

You're set. Run scode in any project folder to start an interactive session, or scode exec "…" for a one-shot task.

Everyday commands

The ones you'll reach for most.

scodeInteractive session in the current folder.
scode ~/projectStart in a specific project.
scode exec "task"Run one task non-interactively (add --json for scripts).
scode resumeContinue your latest session.
scode sessionsList saved sessions (☁ = synced).
scode skillsList project & global skills; skills show <name>.
scode mcpShow MCP servers; mcp test <name>.
scode modelsList models your account can use.
scode doctorDiagnose the setup.

Inside a session, use /mode agent, /model …, /skills, /status, /help. First Ctrl+C cancels the current turn; a second exits.

Permission modes

How much scode may do on its own. Switch anytime with /mode or --mode.

ask

Read and explain only. No shell.

plan

Inspect and plan. No shell.

agent

Edits, plus risky commands after you approve them.

auto

Autonomous non-destructive actions; destructive ones still ask.

⚡

--yolo (any position) bypasses every approval for that one run — it can modify files, hit the network, and run destructive commands without asking. It's runtime-only and never saved. It is not a sandbox: use a container or VM for untrusted code.

Sync sessions across machines optional

Back up transcripts to your account and pick them up elsewhere. Off by default.

terminal
$ scode sync on # enable
$ scode sync push # upload local sessions
$ scode sync list # see remote sessions
$ scode sync pull <id> # import one into this folder

Only a folder name and the message text are uploaded — never the absolute path and never any file contents.

If something's off

Could not reach…Check the URL is https://claude.saintz.my. Transient blips retry on their own — run scode login again.
Not signed inRun scode login, or set SCODE_API_KEY.
code expiredThe sign-in code lasts ~10 minutes. Just run scode login again.
wrong Nodenode -v must be 22 or newer.

Handy environment variables: SCODE_BASE_URL (skip the URL prompt), SCODE_MODEL, SAINTZ_HOME (relocate ~/.saintz).
